1.The revelation of Jesus Christ to John, who was on the island of Patmos, where he received a vision and messages from God.
2.Jesus addresses the churches in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, and Thyatira, commending and warning them accordingly.
3.Jesus addresses the churches in Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea, warning them to repent and remain faithful.
4.John sees a vision of heaven and the throne of God. He also sees the four living creatures and the 24 elders worshipping God.
5.A scroll with 7 seals, only the Lamb of God can open it. Angels and living creatures worship the Lamb.
6.The opening of the six seals, revealing the horsemen representing conquest, war, famine, and death, leading to the martyrs' cry for justice.
7.The chapter describes the 144,000 sealed from the twelve tribes of Israel and a great multitude from every nation praising God.
8.The opening of the seventh seal brings silence in heaven before the angels receive the prayers of the saints and hail and fire are thrown to the earth.
9.The fifth angel sounds a trumpet, releasing locusts to torment those without the seal of God for five months.
10.An angel with a little book opens and swears there will be no more delay in God's plan, initiates a time of prophesying.
11.Two witnesses prophesy, are killed by the beast, and resurrect after three days. A great earthquake occurs.
12.The woman, the dragon, and the male child are introduced, representing Israel, Satan, and Jesus respectively.
13.The beast with 7 heads and 10 horns rises from the sea, blaspheming and making war on the saints. Another beast arises, causing people to worship the first beast and receive its mark.
14.Chapter 14 describes the Lamb and the 144,000, the messages of the three angels, and the harvest of the earth.
15.The seven angels with seven plagues. The temple filled with smoke. The angels given the seven last plagues.
16.The seven bowls of God's wrath are poured out on the earth, bringing destruction and judgment upon the wicked.
17.A vision of a great prostitute on a beast; she symbolizes the city that reigns over the kings of the earth and leads people astray.
18.The downfall of Babylon, a city of luxury and immorality, is foretold and celebrated by the heavenly host.
19.The chapter describes the fall of Babylon, the marriage of the Lamb and his bride, and the defeat of the Beast and False Prophet.
20.Satan is bound for a thousand years, and the souls of the martyrs reign with Christ. After the thousand years, Satan is released and there is a final judgement.
21.God reveals the new heaven and new earth, with the holy city Jerusalem and the river of life, and promises to dwell with his people.
22.New Jerusalem descends from heaven, full of God's glory. There's no need for sun or moon, for God's light shines upon it.
