The gospel of Mark emphasizes action and presents a direct and detailed narrative of Jesus' work on earth. There is not much emphasis on Jesus' teachings, but rather on His miracles.

| 1 | Jesus is baptized by John the Baptist. Soon after, Jesus was in the desert for forty days, tempted by Satan. |
